About Me:
i am a Jediist. i follow the codes and tenets of chivalry and kindness as well as any laws and strictures within the areas from which i reside. i do admit that i have a darker side that i learned to harness and though it once controlled my life and took me places i didnt wanna be, ive been able to mold it into a tool for even greater strength. though, emotion is a fickle thing. it has its own eb and flow to it. and i cannot always predict its movements but i can monitor it as i go through my actions and attempt to maintain my focus with a sound mind and devotion to my goal, whatever it may be at the time, and resist the temtations of anger and and aggression and the easier paths to power. its not always easy telling people that im a Jediist:) haha. they think that its a movie cult and a fanatical obsession, like Vulcanism for example. in truth, we adhere to the core beliefs of each and every main religion, as they are very similar to one another, and add the codes of chivalry and the thinking structure of monastic monks. we are much like the Jedi in the movies in the regard that we thirst for knowledge and strive to better ourselves through that training and research to acquire such knowledge. and yes we organize ourselves much like the fictional Jedi from the movies but those are really the only similarities that one can compare us to the fictional characters known as Jedi. (deep breath) sorry to rant like that, but i needed to get that out in the open:)
Music:
i like almost any type of music except tekno. that stuff really cannot be called music, im sorry. but any other music im fine with.
Movies:
im a Star Wars UBER GEEK of course:D im also a big fantasy buff so Dungeons & Dragons is a big yuppers:) as is Dragon Heart, Lord of the Rings Trilogy and a number of others who's titles escape me at the moment. haha. sci-fi is great also: Predator series, Alien series, and others that, like the fantasy, escape my recolection:)
TV:
im not a big TV person. for me its not an intregal part of my existance and if i really needed to knwo the news or weather, i could look them up online or on my cell phone:)
Books:
im a sparse reader. that means that ill read to learn something and then apply what ive learned until ive gotten better at my skills just learned. at which point, i begin to learn something new. and the cycle continues.
Likes:
those who are honest and true to themselves and to others are those whom i like and respect. the truth is sometimes hard to hear but it is something that all must accept at one time or another. i would rather someone tell me that im a uncaring person, for example, than beat around the bush as long as that was the truth and not their opinion only.
Dislikes:
any who cheat others into doing something for their own self benefit is in the wrong within my perameters of acceptable & not acceptable, regardless of the reasons why. it is my personal belief that deceit and cruelty of any kind is wrong and thus should be treated with the utmost attention and predjudice, as such actions are harmful to all communities across the globe.
Hobbies:
i play roleplaying games: Dungeons & Dragons-3.5 Pen & Paper version, Magic the Gathering, World of WarCraft, and most importnantly: Star Wars-4.0 Pen & Paper version.
Virtues:
i am a patient person, or at least i try to be. i look at all points of a problem and try to find a solution based on all that is given and make sure that i have all the information before making any final decisions. i respect my superiors as they have the experience that i lack and of which i strive to attain, thus i understand that i must become humble to discover what they know. fore in humility lies truth.
Heroes:
i greatly admire Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as he was one of the greatest speakers of not only the Civil Rights Movement, but also in American and World History as well. due to his sacrifice and devotion to a noble cause, he made it possible for a great many opportunities to arrise for those of colored skin all across America.
i also greatly admire Mahatma Ghandi, a man who denied himself the very things that would sustain him in this world to grant his people freedom from oppression. his inner strength and determination to succeed along with a focus on freedom for his people granted him the sustanance to continue til his mission was complete. but i think the person i admire most, is my old Master: Jedi Master Caedus. he taught me that patience is a powerful tool and to harness that power and utilize it into a weapon for the greater good. he taught me that to be strong, is not to have the most power or to know more than everyone else, or even to have more skills than those around you. he taught me to know that true strength comes from how many friends you have and how well you all treat each other, acting as one unit thus standing tall against those that would threaten you. i consider him a great and wise mentor and i consult to him when i need guideance. |
